a seperate windows install for fs

hey I am new to the whole seen, but this game has me wanting to figure evrything out. I was thinking on the idea of partitioning my hard drive and install a second windows, bare bones it to run games only, in hopes of a better performance. I have a million processes going on normally, this would have to help!  I have a high perfomance machine but still get framerate problems . Or beter yet can you run cfs2 on dos??? without windows?              I am well aware of the other hardware mods that will boost performance, was just seeking alternatives

Excellent idea, as long as you've got the HD space!

CFS 2 will run great on most systems with a "bare" install - assuming you class "bare" as fully upto date, with the most recent motherboard/sound/graphics drivers and a current release of Direct X.
The Big question is what exactly is your "Performance machine"???  ;)
