It would be interesting to know how many Members still play "games", etc, on their Personal Computers nowadays?

My local game shop only stocks a handful of PC games, tucked away in a dark corner, now.
Most of the programs on display are aimed at the various Console users!

Paul...Atari 2600.... ;D...!
Win 8.1 64-bit. DX11. Advent Tower. Intel i7-3770 3.9 GHz 8-core. 8 GB System RAM. AMD Radeon HD 7700 1GB RAM. DVD ROM. 2 Terra Byte SATA Hard Drive. Philips 17" LCD Monitor. Saitek Cyborg X Fly-5 Joystick. ...and a Briggs and Stratton Petrol Lawn Mower.

I still do. I played Mass Effect 1 and 2 on the Xbox and 3 on the PC and it is an amazing franchise. I still play ME3's multiplayer sometimes. But that is being supplanted by Borderlands (first one, GOTY edition with all DLCs for less then $8,00 on Steam). And I still dedicate a good amount of time to Battlefield 3. Other titles I play, albeit not that regularly, include Arma 2, Sins of a Solar Empire, and the GTA collection (from 1 to IV, also on Steam for some $7). I have other PC titles installed too. There is also the Playstation 3 that is entertaining me with Formula 1 2012 as well, and other games that are made free for PSN+ subscribers, plus an occasional replay of already-completed games (for now it is Bulletstorm).

In the realms of simulation, I have IL-2 Sturmovik 1946 installed and fly a bit with it, but I just installed DCS A-10, which is awesome too.

As you can see, I really like games. But flight simulation is really what I do most. Games come and go, but flight simulation is always there. Mainly because there is always something new to learn from it, which is something that games rarely give you.

Back to ME3, it is a very good game. Maybe the one with the biggest emotional involvement of the characters. There is always a sense of loss - something always tell you that the journey will take its toll - and that makes the game more engaging IMHO. That is also reflected in the awesome theme song (http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=x5JvbD2Zc9I), that sets the mood from the beginning.

There is still controversy on the endings of ME3, but I liked them. They were not as I expected, and I think that there are some quasi-supernatural aspects that did not need to be like that. ME3 does not need "magic stuff". Other then those, I do not have problems with the endings.

I like games that tell good stories. The Mass Effect series is in that set. I'd say it is worth playing for those that like this kind of game.
