I have had problems with Yahoo mail the past few days...

I have a wireless adapter for my desktop computer,and it disconnects it self when ever I'm on my Yahoo mail for some reason(and I have tried 2 adapters)I really don't know why either.I got full bars to the Wireless router.Any Help?

i've had a few problems with yahoo mail security too.  Let's just say apparently, somehow, he sent an two emails to me that he didn't send.  They were giant colorful links that were nothing like he writes, and were advertising pharmacys.
I wonder what's going on.

Two seperate issues.

@X_Dude: Is your router or access point using an encrypted signal, or is the connection completely open? (i.e. did you need a WEP key to access the the router or access point when you set up the wireless adapters?)

@Club: Whoever's account those emails came from, likely clicked on a link in an email sent to him, or more likely, that was posted on a site like Facebook. The action of clicking on that link has allowed access to his email account and contact list by a third party spamming program. The result of which, is that emails are being sent out from his account without his knowledge. This kind of thing propagates by someone thinking they received an email from him, trusting it, opening it, then clicking on the link too. Now their account and contact list has also been compromised. Both my cousin and niece were hit by a similar attack. As big of a pain as it would be, the best way to cancel it's effects would be to close his account and create a new one.

Yes I got full bars and the connection doesn't cut out because it doesn't do it on other sites or if I'm playing a game. :-?

FSX Dude, I suggest maybe getting a Gmail or Hotmail etc. if you can't connect to yahoo. Or maybe give it a few days to sort itself out.

I might switch over to Hotmail.

FSX Dude, I suggest maybe getting a Gmail or Hotmail etc. if you can't connect to yahoo. Or maybe give it a few days to sort itself out.

I can connect but its like some one unplugged my adapter and then replugs it in.

I'm awfull at hardware, but here's an idea I've thought of.
How does your adapter handle real-time wi-fi things?  As in things that you don't really have to do anything for something to appear.  I know that yahoo mail trys to do some real-time things like the chat function.  It may be something like it just can't handle that.

Yahoo mail and Yahoo messenger are two seperate things. Yahoo Mail did have some technical problems a day or so ago but didn't last long. Try shutting every thing down and the unplug the router at the power source for at least 60 seconds. Reconnect the router and reboot your pc. If that fails try bypassing your router and plug your ethernet cable directly into your pc. (Edit: need a Modem for that) I've had three different routers fail in the past.

I hate Routers, and treat them like the Plague.
They can create all sorts of problems with "Port" issues, especially when trying to play on-line.

I abandoned their use many years ago, and as I only have one computer, and I am the only one who uses it, I connect directly to the Internet via a cheap, simple, ADSL Wired Modem, and no Port or connection problems with on-line gaming, etc!

I like simplicity!... ...!
