Hey guys, I'm fairly new here and I want to start posting pictures. However, I cannot seem to get the size of my picture small enough for the SimV Image Uploader to accept it.. It's quite a neusence and I'd really appreciate it if someone could send me a link or tell me a good photo editor that can make my photo sizes small enough. Thanks

I use GIMP (GNU Image Manipulation Program) for all my photo editing, paintshop type needs.  I think it compares favorably with full-feature versions of Photoshop that I have used, and it is free, free, and did I say, free?

Don't know if you are into flight sim repaints, but this is great for that as well.

I use Paint.NET and save them as JPEGs, then once you choose the name and type it will show another screen where it will have a slider to choose the quality of the image to raise or lower the file size, and it doesn't take much to lower the file size that way, so you keep the quality but not the bites.  Just so you know, there is a HUGE bite jump between 100% and 99% quality. Sometimes even as much as 100Kb, while taking absolutely minimal quality!

Irfanview is the PERFECT resizing program. It is very 'lite' software, and it is very simplistic. Just click 'resize' and then 'save' and you can lock in the target file size and it will do the rest.

For actual image editing, I use GIMP and Paint.Net. Both have certain features that are useful, but only payware software seems to have all those features in one place. Both of these are overkill for scaling an image though.

Hey i will suggest you either go with FotoFlexer or Picasa both are good. I had been using picasa from last two year it is totally free photo editor software and that instantly find, edit and share all the pictures on your PC. FotoFlexer is a new software dont know that much but heard its very nice!!

I use BDsizer. It is perfect for me. Fast, easy and can even crop.
