Google Chrome

Postby Sir_Crashalot » Tue Sep 21, 2010 10:44 am

Hello,

I'm trying Google Chrome at the moment. After years of using Maxthon as my default browser (still is. Can't let go of it), I'm looking for something new. Heard and read that Chrome is faster than any other browser. So far I'm pleased with it. I see that there are literally thousands of add-ons for it. Besides Ad-Block, which do you recommend? And what are your experiences with Chrome?

Thanks,

Carlo ;)

I really like Google Chrome. ;) Very fast and easy to use. Didn't know about these add ons though, will have to check these up.

I don't use chrome. Firefox is, and always will be, the best internet browser.  :D

I'm a Firefox fan myself, although Chrome is nice...  ;)

If you want speed, I've heard Opera is good as well.

I love Chrome!! Unfortunately it doesn't work on my pc.  :( I use Firefox now because of the issues with Chrome - it's my second favorite.  ;)

I've actually tried pretty much every web browser I've heard of and so far, Chrome is by far the best. I used to use IE, then I went to Firefox, really liked that but when I tried Chrome, I was hooked!

Again, thanks for the replies. Sticking with Chrome for now, still using Maxthon2 as default however. Need to get used to using Chrome I guess. Tried Firefox and Opera too, liked Opera more than FF.

I've been using Chrome for a pretty good while now and I really like it. Much better than IE. I just never liked Firefox.

Used FF for the last 4 years.  Loved it.  Until the last year or so when it wouldn't shut down, and would lock up using 25% of the CPU in this state.  Had to go to ctrl+alt+del and processes to kill it to reopen it.

Tried Chrome and have been VERY impressed.  Bookmarks are pretty cool, like I can have all the icons "up above".

Interweb Exploder is garbage and FF has earned the nickname Fire F(*&....

Only IMHO and from what I have experienced.

There is a new IE out just for Windows 7: IE9. I have not tried it. My computer guru got a pre-release beta and liked it so much he put it on both of his machines. I've tried Chrome. Hated it. Put Firefox back on in less than 24 hours. Have never tried Thunderbird...

Chrome, though relatively new to me, is light years better than IE8 as, I suspect, are any of the other browsers mentioned in this thread.  The learning curve's a little steeper but worth it.
