This should take about seven seconds...

I need a new screen-capture tool. Howie's Funware does not seem to work with Windows 7. The Snipping Tool in Win7 is not visible when FS is running. Any 7 users out there got a recommendation for me? Thanks.

The only one I've ever used.  [smiley=thumbsup.gif]

Highly recommended!  8-)

That's weird.  It's on page 1 of the utilities page in the "Downloads"

Let's try this one:

http://www.simviation.com/simviation/st ... 200&page=1

FSX/FS2004 'Snapshot' Screenshot Utility. v4 Take screenshots of FS2004/X With just a push of 1 button on your keyboard (Print Screen) and SnapShot does the rest! You don't even have to pause FS. Just press PrintScreen while in game, and SnapShot automatically saves each numbered screenshot to your chosen directory. v1.4 - Also works on Windows Vista aswell as Windows XP and others!Requires .Net Framework to be installed. (here). 1.2K

I tried Screenhunter. All I got was a big, black area with a bit of Desktop behind it. I'll try the new one now...

The one from the simviation downloads works great. I had no problem with it-- and that's saying something! Thanks, Boikat.

So, have you figured out how to make the Merlin work under 7? It won't execute for me. I have the thumbnails but when I select to fly it, FS goes into some sort of "FS 2004 is not working..." mode. I think I may be having problems with the Sounds.dll folder/files. I am not sure I need to drop the entire folder into the Sounds.dll folder, or if I need to drop individual files into the Sounds.dll folder. I'm kinda busy now; have to do it later.

Not sure what you mean by this. You seem to be confusing folders & files. Did you try my advice to paste GaugeSound.dll into your Flight Simulator 9 folder?

Possibly the best screenshot capturing tool is the PrtScn Key.  ;D I've always used it. May be harder. but it allows me to edit the screenshot instantly when i paste it in my photo editing software.

Not yet, Hagar. I've been busy with other pursuits. I know what a file is, and I know what a folder is. I just need to spend some time with it...

It will only take a couple of minutes & should fix your problem. It's perfectly painless. Trust me.
