Star Trek Online?

So I was wondering if I should get it? It looks fun, I LOVE Star Trek, and it's 29.99$ if you get it from the Cryptic store and not amazon. I have a good enough computer to run it pretty well. The thing is I also wanted to get red dead redemption, but I'm not quite sure if my mom will let me (drugs and sex :P). And Fallout New Vegas comes out in the fall (but that's not really a variable), any opinions? Does anyone play this already?

Had it, got bored with it cancelled it, all in a few weeks.
Simple fact is, its too repetitive. Your either fighting ships in space, beaming to the ground fighting people on the ground then scanning something. Or just one of those then leaving. Same thing over and over. No in game voice chat and aside from seeing a couple of the locations in the Star trek universe. Which are actually poorly modeled, it has no long term playability, and I dont understand how they think they can get away with charging monthly for it. I think a one off payment would be more than enough for it.

So I would probably be better off just waiting until further improvements (will probably be a while) and getting read dead redemption?

I'd say so.
If you can get the free demo of it, if they are doing one again, then do so to give it a go. But honestly, it's got a months game play to it at best, and I'm a big trek fan myself.
