Google Earth Start Up Problems

In reinstalled Google earth and noticed that it just doesn't start up for me. At first I got libexpatw.dll missing. I reinstalled again and now no error messages show up. Google earth is not running in the background. It just doesn't run at all.

Google Earth's help archive states something about video drivers and a multitude of other problems that I know I don't have. GE has run well on my current drivers before. I just hav enot used GE as often and when i started it up today it wouldn't.

Does anyone have a solution to this problem?

Thanks :)

I have read a bit and have a feeling this is because Google Earth has .dlls and other files scattered everywhere across the computer. I also think it is also because of Google's registry entries.

I would like how to solve this if possible by not touching the registry.

Registry Mechanic has scanned and fixed all the errors found. Don't know what to do next.

I installed GE on my new Win7 PC and it worked fine, then all of a sudden it stopped working, the shortcut on my desktop even disappeared.  I uninstalled/reinstalled and the same thing, worked, stopped working, shortcut disappeared.

Somehow I figured out that this only happened after GE automatically updated itself, after that I uninstalled/reinstalled, disabled GE's auto update, took any GE reference in my msconfig out and everything has been fine.

Hopefully something out of all that will help you.
