Question about IE 8

I was using Firefox 3.5 until NickN said there were no real benifits to it. and switched back to IE 7.

Now for some reason or another, I avoided IE 8. I believe it caused me some problem that I've since forgotten.

Today, Youtube informs me that I must switch to IE 8 or back to FireFox,

Which is recommended?

And is there a problem with IE 8? (I know I did uninstall and go back to 7 for a reason, I just don't remember why after a year. :-[ )

IE8 has a problem that sometimes it does not want to open tabs for me. It sometimes opens but does not load the page.

Well so far so good. :)

When I installed it, I made sure to do the custom install and chose (?)
not to install most of their 'help us help you' features.

Not too bad, although I HATE tabbed browsing. That's why I have all these monitors. :D

What ever problem I had with it back then, doesn't seem present today.

Although it has moved my Simviation reply box to the right side of the screen for some reason.  :-?

I've got them both running.  If one won't do the job, the other will.  ;D ;)

After a while with IE8 though, I see nothing I dislike about it.

Neither browser seems faster than the other, or does something the other doesn't.

Matter of preference I suppose. ;)
