Is it possible to activate Nhancer while one is flying?  I have a slow computer and want to have it off while i'm not taking pictures.  Is it possible with out restarting? :-?

If it helps, you don't have to have it on during startup. You can go into run>msconfig and deselect it as a startup item... it doesn't have to be running in the background for the effects to work
