I saw in the setup process, you can set this to disable, however I noted during the download that Google Chrome is part of the download. Being happy with the browser that I have, can Google Chrome be deleted after the installation or will it just be a piece of software that I never use and is hogging hard drive space >:(

I just clicked cancel downloads after Google Earth downloaded, so it stopped before Google Chrome could be downloaded. :)

Pick a nice spot of water, and keep on zooming in, I've noticed that most inland water bodies, and places such as the area around NYC don't include this feature, but all of the oceans do, and I believe the larger lakes and seas. When you get to sea level and first go under, it doesn't appear as though it's going any where, but eventually you hit bottom. ;)

Also in the layers tab, be sure to check the Oceans box. Otherwise you can go down to the bottom of the ocean.

Mine will show the locations of ship wrecks, such as the Titanic and the Bismark, but nothing is actually there, is there an option to show anything, or is it just place markers? :-?

Still neat even without showing the actual wreck though. 8-)

and also, in th 'View' tab, make sure 'show ocean surface' is disabled, or it will display a water 'plane' over the seabottom... which makes undersea viewing rather difficult

Cheers

That's awesome! 8-) Are you on the sketchup team, or just doing contributions to the project? Great looking stuff. :)

I'm just contributing to the project, right now I'm modeling a Confederate Ironclad. I think you have to make at least 12 models before you can get on the SketchUp team.
