This is a very simple edit of the number of times the ports will be slammed with update requests.. its similar to editing the TCPIP registry stack for
HKEY_USERS.DEFAULT\Software\Microsoft\Windows\CurrentVersion\Internet Settings
"MaxConnectionsPerServer"=dword:00000010
"MaxConnectionsPer1_0Server"=dword:00000010
Its no secret.. its been around for a long time and FF tweaks require changes too since its not and never was a safer browser and simply ports out through windows networking system
LOL!!!
http://www.speedguide.net/read_articles.php?id=2448I do not use FF but apparently they are porting and what this does is hammer the port with requests. What will eventually happen if it has happened already at many websites is the admin will limit the requests per IP which is why some sites may be faster and others do not seem like they have changed.
Overall it can help but those admins who are wise to the hacks and tweaks make sure their systems are not pounded buy the public in high traffic periods
