Guess which COTS sim the USAF uses

Yo folks, check this out:

Apparently, the USAF is using X-Plane as a Commercial Off The Shelf simulator for their pilot training and the likes. That screenshot is from X-Plane 9, using a modified aircraft the USAF created using classified data on the F-22.

Here's a closeup of that screenie to prove it too:

The proof it's X-Plane though is those data boxes in the upper right hand corner, which are available through the data input-output menu.

That's cool.

The Army is trying to use similar ideas with modified game engines for training also
