Windows Midori

Postby Anxyous » Tue Sep 30, 2008 1:31 pm

We all know the next Windows version will simply be called 'Windows 7', but it appears the version to come out after that will be called 'Windows Midori', and will be created entirely from scratch.

Interesting...

I heard a few days ago that Windows 7 will be not much more than a Vista SP2.

Windows Midori = Windows Green

Yeah.... curious title.

Technically not "Green Windows"..... that would be Midori no Windows in Japanese.

But I have to think a bit about Japanese hononyms for "midori".... since we are looking at a Romaji rendering of "midori", not the kanji source.

Windows Midori = Windows Green

A new eco-friendly Windows? Instead of a recycle bin, this version will have a compost pile?

"Are you sure you want to turn this file into fertilizer?"

:-?

They're already talking about a new Windows to come after the one that hasn't even come out yet (or been widely publisized).... ::) ;D

I guess someone at Microsoft is really trying to do damage control after the failure of Vista in the gamer market. Sure it is great for many that don't use it with processor intensive programs, but I've heard quite the opposite from most active gamers.

If it's going to be "entirely from scratch", that will be quite exciting and interesting to see....hopefully.
