OO trial version is time limited, 30 days.
Vista 64 / Defrag 10 don't works correct and I don't know anything about v8.6.

and turn off system restore completely before you run it
if it were me i would leave it off and never turn it back on
I use other methods to back up, manual methods so my system is not burdened with that crap
Vista locks the SR area of the hard drive and will not allow O&O to defrag it correctly leaving a huge fragmented area with the SR files
If after the defrag is finished you want SR back on, turn it on then but keep in mind that over bloated service is just one of the items that sucks the performance life out of a system

How do I turn off system restore?
While I'm at it,
How do I:
1. Completely shut down the Defender Program/Service
2. Completely disable UAC
3. Completely disable Aero
4. I assume you already did but completely shut down the Indexing Service
5. Completely shut down System Restore
6. Completely shut down Automatic updates but only the GUI automatic update setting, not the service and manually go (browse) to Windows Update once a month.
7. Use NOD32 as the security software, nothing else

This is the only one I don't understand. I was able to disable everything else. Can you post a quick "how-to" for this one only?

To Disable Automatic Update:
Launch Windows Update, in the left pane click Change Settings.
In the resulting windows check "Never check for updates", click OK.
NOTE: I go to Windows Update myself on the first Tuesday of every month which is when MS usually releases their monthly updates. I do this so my system is never trying to connect to Windows Update when I boot or when I use the system which creates background activity and slows the system down. Shutting it down is up to the user but be aware you must browse to Windows Update Manually once a month to get your critical updates should you choose to disable them as shown
