Windows Updates

Postby a1 » Sat Jun 28, 2008 1:09 pm

I haven't updated my computer from the constant nag of windows update for months.

Should I really download all the security updates that pile up or should I just download the most recent security update? Should I use it at all unless there is a serious security problem or some other thing?

yes, it is always a good idea to keep downloading all the security updates. i remember reading on other forums that some dude didnt have virus scan. someone asked if he ever got the windows updates. he said no. there was about 10 pages of ridiculing after  ;D.

I have automatic updates turned off just because I don't always want my machine to connect to the internet ( and I HATE NAG BALLOONS), but I make it a point to check MS's update page AT LEAST once a month to keep my machines current. Any which way you do it, updates are always a good idea.
