Active Sky won't connect with FS9

Tried everything: started FS9 first; started AS first; made flight plan in each, in one, in the other, no flight plan, etc., etc... never used to have any trouble with AS but today it just won't play with FS9, even though it gets the coordinates and updates the weather accordingly.
Even tried rebooting the machine... it still refuses to override whatever wx setting is in FS9!  >:(
Any insights?

Got the latest version of FSUIPC? I believe AS6 needs this, yours' may have become corrupted (just a guess).

That's all that I can think would cause the problem. If that doesn't work, I'm sure someone else will have an answer

Thought I was up-to-date but I had the previous version of FSUIPC.
Updated it and all is well. Just finished a nice long flight in a C140, flying low into a nasty headwind. Perfect.
