You could update all of your card drivers, scan for viruses and google for this problem, your probably not the first one, and somewhere on the internet there must be a solution. Ive had this too with games and one can usualy find something on fan forums.

I have been Googleing since last night. Power supply is 800 Watts.

I updated it to v1.1 and saw an impovement. I see a flashing screen at the startup so I am going to get new drivers for my 8800 now.

Lets just hope it works. :-/

Defragging usually helps too. EA games usually leave a flood of fragmented files behind them.

Thanks for the tip. Now I just have to deal with the continuous crashing that seems to be the major problem of this game according to the forums and all.

When you are actually able to play the game how is it? Ever since the 3rd brothers in arms, the 3rd call of duty and the billionth medal of honor I'm kinda sick of WWII games, but if its good enough I would give it a rethink.

How realistic is the parachuting part? I got my static-A license, so im quite curious how realistic it gets.

we are talking about the 1940s here so I can't really compare with today's parachuting.

All i can say is this. You hook up and than jump out of the plane. You feel the jerk of the chute opening and all the noise is gone. You steer around the area by maneuvering your chute.

And your jumping with a round chute? I learned in training that those couldnt really be steered around. It was my reserve chute.

The steering does look a bit unrealistic.

Yeah, looked way too agile for those type of chutes, although i had the fortune to never use it.
I also noticed that you dont need to do any type of roll or flaring on landing, is this right? In the trailer you land on a roof, wich should get you hurt pretty badly, but you can just run around it instantly shooting.

You can flare on the landing. The flared landing is just like you standing up and taking your chute off. I also think the landing is very unrealistic.
