Folder Sucurity

Postby Kaworu » Wed Oct 24, 2007 6:32 pm

Hello all. Recently the security of some of my personal folders have been called into question, thanks in part to my own brother. So, to get to the point, I am looking for a freeware piece of soft ware that allows me the password protect folders, to be specific, I don't want to encrypt files, as I already do that. I have XP home, so the option of just protecting through windows is disabled. I don't need a strong program, just something to deter my little bro from screwing up my computer, which he loves to do in his freetime. Thanks for the help!

Thanks for the fast reply. Unfortunatly, This option isn't usable since the files are on my secondary hard drive (my FS drive). To use that, you must be on C drive in you user name folder. Thanks for the help!

BTW, I'm not being spit full with my bro, but he just deleted my entire music collection while I was sleeping. I've got the CD's but still...

You obviously know more about this than me. :D

I found a couple of freeware utilities on Google that might do the trick but I hesitate to suggest anything without trying it.

PS. What about this. http://www.cypherix.co.uk/password_protect.htm
