I have downloaded and unzipped this. Does anybody know how to use it? I can't even find it on my C: drive. It must be there because I went through the installation procedure for it itself. I'm confused...

Smart Installer

I can't find a utility with that name. If you post a link to the page you downloaded it from maybe someone can check it out for you.

If you mean the Aircraft Installer: Version 3.8 it should run from any location. Extract airplane_installer.zip & run it by double-clicking the fs2002_airplane.exe icon.

I'm sorry but I can't figure out how it works.

I had another go at it when I had more time. I managed to install an aircraft with it & then uninstall it. It seems to work well enough but I only tried the one download. To be honest it would take me far longer to explain how to set it up & use it than to install aircraft manually.

The important thing is to set the FS2004 Path. Point it at your FS9 root folder which will probably be in the default location - C:\Program Files\Microsoft Games\Flight Simulator 9
The Download & Unzip paths are already set.

Then download (or paste) the zipfiles you wish to install to FS9 into the folder in your airplane_installer folder named download_fs2004. These will then be extracted to the folder named download_fs2004. You can select them from there to install to FS9.
