Trojan horse problems

Postby alb469 » Wed Dec 13, 2006 5:03 pm

This trojan locked up my computer but was only in my C drive. As FS9 is on my D drive it still works after a reformat of my C drive. however I am missing some things that MS in their wisdom put in C. short of a complete reinstall of FS9 what do I have to put back in C drive and from what discs. Any help would be appreciated! :'( :-/

You will certenly miss the hidden folder in application data. When you done a reinstall then copy what you want from your d-drive.

Yes I  was afraid that it was a complete reinstall. That was done but now i have some strange gauge problems appearing. Will put in another entry on them. :'(

Psycho.
Do you mean dumped from the backup on your slave?
Anyway, i allways disconnect my slave when i'm doing reinstallation. Anything can happen on a pc. I've seen that.

Off course it will. All cfg, dll and fx files a.o. are changing to standard. If you got the place, make a folder, call it "my fs" or something, copy the sim into it, then you have what you want in a new install.

None of my addons have ever been touched. not even sky textures. there has always been a option in my uninstall program to leave custom mods and saved flights
