fs9 very Jerky

Postby luke » Sat Nov 11, 2006 4:00 am

fs9 jerky, almost unusable.

Was very smooth for 18 months untill decided to upgarde from 81.98 to latest 91.47 drivers when Jerkiness occured. Then reverted to 81.98 but jerky remained & won't go away.

Asked for help in Hardware where they tried everything untill they determined that the grfx 6600 card is OK.

Deleted, reloaded, changed versions of drivers, used Criver Cleaner, Zeroed the HD & rebuild etc etc, but nothing stops jerkiness.

Can anybody here help please?

Is it "jerky" as in frame rates? What are you getting as far as FPS.
If reverting back to older drivers that were stable still gives you a jerky flight I would suggest following Nicks post in the FSX forums. I would usually give other advice but I think Nick has solved a majority of issues in that one post ;)

Unfortunately in fs9 are only 4 or 5fps.

I have them locked at 24fps.

Jerky I mean it flys in short jerks & leaps & on turns & low is worst or very noticable. Lining up on approach, even coupled on the ILS, is almost imposible. I can't think of another word to discribe it, it is not nice & smooth as it always was.

I did all N.N's PC twicks you sugested and more on fs9 at:-

Well I am not a computer pro but that sounds to me as if its a memory issue, it is trying to load textures causing the jerkiness.

Luke it alwaies seems like your having some sort of trouble.

When was the last time you defraged? Also are you useing a different texture set than the origional?

Did you remove all traces of the updated drivers before reinstalling the older ones?
