Saving OUTLOOK email messages

Hello All.

I currently use OUTLOOK for my Email client, but soon i am re-formatting my computer.
I have ALOT of messages in my inbox, but what i need to know is, can i save these messages to disk? I need these messages, so im wondering if i saved them to disk and then when im up and running after my format, i can import them back into my inbox.

Please can you tell me how i back-up my email messages.
