Symantec has boasted its antivirus products are installed on more than 200 million computers

Wonder if that is 200 million that wanted it or was forced upon them buying pre-built systems???

I got it with my system (yes, yes it's a damn OEM)...I won't upgrade my licence for next year though...I'll wait and ask around for suggestion that don't require too much memory ;) :)

Symantec was such a royal pain in the ass.  AVG hasn't given me any problems so far.

Hope they work out that problem quickly, in the wrong hands some real havoc could be wreaked on what sounds like some of the most powerful companies in the world.

I never found AVG anygood, even the pay-for verison seems, and looks like it was put together by a 3yr old. I prefere Mcafee, like ctjoyce.

Ashar, I have a OEM aswell, mine came with Macfee though.

If you want a good antivirus Ashar, and one that doesnt make your system try to eat itself, try NOD32, its really PC friendly, and with good updates, pretty safe too.

My parents keep alot of Valuble information on thier computer, so I installed Panda, it actually makes you feel like your computer is sealed inside concrete, and then put in a room, that is bomb and hackerproof, with the SAS sitting outside 24-7, with Bazookas, and a giant lazer dome that nothing can get through, and a tank, oh yes a tank and.........

;D ;D

A ferocious panda bear\?

I'm not going to lie, Panda is quite the Firewall, but I think I'll stick with my good ole McAfee.

Death to Symantec and Norton!

Go for McAfee- a real people program- easy to run and understand!
