ATI Catalyst 6.4 problem.

i started noticing that catalyst 6.4 is the best.

however it does have one problem. every time i minimize my FS (or other game) all AA settings are reset. I have to re-enable just one AA to re-activate al AA settings. anyone else got this problem?

Me too.  It has been doing it since Cat 6.2 for me.  I will send some feedback to them so they can fix it, if enough people send feedback then it should happen.

You guys using ATI Tray Tools or ATI Tool by any chance?

If so, that is what is causing the problem.


I already had it out with ATI on the issue and with a personal conversation between myself and an engineer at ATI (dont ask how I got that far LOL) it was discovered the drivers were not the problem, the ATI add-on tools are not coded properly for anything higher than 6.1

Possible Fix: Do Not boot the computer with ATI TOOL set to boot with Windows. Launch ATI TOOL AFTER Windows completely boots. I cannot vouch for ATI Tray tools by RAy Adams, only ATI Tool.

Enabling A-AA OR using any DX buffer tweak on cards that are not designed for will also cause the problem.

I'm not using any of those tools.  Also i have not registry hacked A-AA on 6.4 yet or use any buffer tweaks and it still happens.
