Hello my hearties... ;D...!

Every now and again, my daily flights throughout the known world result in a message saying; "Sorry Fozzer, my old Mate, your virtual memory is too low"...
"..and I am going to stop your present flight and return you to your Desktop...forthwith"...
"..and you will have to start it all over again"...
"Sorry about that"...Tee-Hee...!

What a flippin' arse... >:(...!

So...My hearties, feed me with the info of how to set up my Max/Min "Virtual Memory" to prevent this Dork from interrupting my flights with his annoying message of condolences...;)...!

System specs below, (excluding the contents of my trousers)...

Cheers, Lads...!

Paul...Failing Memory... :'(...!
LOL... ;D...!

LOL Paul...!

1) Start
2) Right click My Computer
3) Click Properties
4) Go to the Advanced tab
5) Under Performance, click Settings
6) Go to the Advanced tab
7) Under Virtual Memory, click Change
8) Choose your C: drive
9) Set Custom Size, then put 1536mb* into both Initial and Maximum.
10) OK your way out.

Should do the trick ;)

Jon 8)

* - this value is double the amount of system RAM

A quick thought Paul, are you flying in XP or, '98? I say as I recall having similar issues with '98 and my system with > 512MB RAM, '98 isn't happy with more than 512MB RAM and I wondered if that was the issue.... ?

Thanks, Jon for the tip...
...will do... ;)...!

...and Paul...
NAH...running on Win XP Pro now....

...although my other Win '98 SE did recognise my 768 Meg of memory! and I had to run a special program (FREEMEM) to reallocate the memory and  prevent it from "leaking away" over time while the computer was on... ;)...!

Cheers both...;D...!

Paul...My memory has returned...Woo-Hoo... ;D...!
