Not another poll. LOL ::)

The only reason I answered this is to point out that WinMe should be listed with Win95/98. NT goes better with Win2000/XP although XP could be listed separately.

I think all the regulars should know by now that I'm one of the few dinosaurs still using WinMe. I don't have many problems at all & in my experience it's not half as buggy as some people make out but I sometimes wish I'd stuck with Win98 SE.

I also use "BBC Basic" when I'm running my BBC Micro Emulator, also, 6502 Machine code, from the days before "Operating Systems"

Why on earth do you class Windows ME in the same class as XP & Windows 2000 when infact, its merely Windows 98 with a few subtle mods? ;)

XP Home ...... SP2

For those that think SP2 isn't worth the effort ...... I hope your security settings are set to maximum!!

Meh...my ISP has it's own firewall...and then so does my comp....but when I got SP2...it really badly messed up my comp...so I ditched it...and as for security issues...what could happen...... ::) :D

Funny thing:

One of the things we install are wireless routers.  They run on a scaled-down version of Linux (these are far more powerful than the ones you get at places like Best Buy).

The Tech Support guy runs either Mac or Unix.  He was asking me if we had considered that.  Well, considering that our phone system programming software runs on Windows only, we are sort of tied to it.

I stay out of OS arguements...I use what there is to use.  And after all, an OS is only as good as what runs on it (not to mention what hardware is compatible).

I wonder if Vista will run FS better....if it does, I will be moving one of my copies of XP to my daughter's computer...

Rule of thumb...never buy an OS as soon as it comes out (let others be Guinea pigs)...
