Look at the bright side, now perhaps people will realize what a moron he is.
Although San Andreas is another story, from what I've heard...

While yes the san andreas hack is on the risky side. Why should we be punished for something a computer geek who isnt getting any did. And as for the sims. The general group who play this game are actually younger kids. Most who are still young enough not to really see anything wrong with it. Its then people like this who give exposure to these hacks, that encourage the younger kids to find and download them. If they just kept their mouths shut it would remain a small thing. Before it was brought up i hadn't even heard of the san andreas hack nor had alot of others. Now its going to quickly become the hottest download for the game. As for a recall. How many people do you honestly believe will give up their copies of the game, i bought the sims 2, why?? i dont know i believe i thought it had some good use for sim city 4 either way, i dont use it but i still wouldn't give it back. Same goes for san andreas.

In the statement, Thompson says, "Sims 2, the latest version of the Sims video game franchise ... contains, according to video game news sites, full frontal nudity, including nipples, penises, labia, and pubic hair."
Just like a real anatomically correct human being? Holy crap we wouldn't want anyone to see that!

I have nothing say to...
This guy's stupidity and absolute ignorance speaks for itself.
And you what know, he just might try to ban fs2004, it could be used by terrorists to train for terrorist attaaks with planes...

In fact, the 9/11 terrorists used FS2000 to train. Not that that makes the concept of flight simulation inherently evil but MS took out the crash effects in FS2002.
If you crashed into a building in FS2000 you wouldn't "crash" the sim. The aircraft would explode into a fireball and plow through the building much as in the 9/11 videos. In FS2002 and later the sim resets itself after a building crash.

It's never going to happen. I understand about GTA. But as for the sims and other such games, this guy has no idea that he is standing up AGAINST and ENTIRE global community who wish to keep such simple and humane games alive.
If he ever tries to even stand up against M$ over the FS and CFS series, then he will be in a big surprise when he sees that the entire GLOBAL community outnumbers him [about 3 billion to 1].

Not to mention outflank.

What's next? Grand Tourismo being attacked for teaching kids how to earn an International A liscense? :-/

Jack Thompson... I hate that man with a vengeance. He's the one who says it's a fricken' GAME's fault that this or that kid commited such and such a crime. I've said it before and I'll say it again, GAMES don't make decisions, PEOPLE DO. I can somewhat understand him attacking a controversial (yet fun-as-hell) game like GTA, but this is going too far. I've seen the Sim games, anything naughty is blurred out. And from what the article said, even if the blur IS lifted, there's nothing anatomically-correct to be seeen.
And claiming that EA is "cooperating, gleefully, with the mod community to turn Sims 2 into a porn offering" is outrageous. Once a game is released, it's very difficult (if not impossible) for game makers to control what the modders do to it.
I live to see the day this man has it all shoved back in his face. Hell, I'd pay good money to be there when it happens. And I would proudly defend the FS series if he ever DID try and take a swing at it.
