Posted: Tue Jun 21, 2005 4:03 amXP has a built in clone facility for HDs. Right click on the drive you want to copy and choose properties. Then click on tools and you'll find backup at the bottom

I made the exact same partitions and all, and I can simply copy and paste files on my D and E drives to the G and H drives, but would copy/pasting the C to F leave behind things like registry, therefore rendering the copy of XP on the new drive useless?

Nortan Ghost has that ability. I've never tried it though. I use commercial hardware to ghost my HD's, but that costs money and you probably don't do it as much as I do.
