I was more than upset to read this,
JOYSTICKS
Battlefield 2 does not support using a joystick connected to
your computer via a joystick port built-in to your sound card.
We recommend you use a joystick that connects to your computer
 via a USB port.

I have a gameport FF stick !  >:(

Thats what I hate about these new games. You need to have just bought your computer yesterday to support them. I just got a new computer last week and I can't use it because I have an onboard vid card. >:(

Half a gigabyte is just too much for a demo. As stated before, I'll stick to Joint Operations.

Having spent 5 hours solid on BF2 demo last night, I heartily disagree with you!

Just think how big the full game install will be!  ::)

The game runs great at medium - high settings, 1280x1024 2xQ AAA 4x AF  8)

64 player servers seem laggy to me though. :(

Tomorrow I guess im going to get the news of whether the old 9800XT is going become a lame duck this year :-X

Wish me luck lol!

That's what I love about Joint Operations - smooth with 150 players.

I spent 8 hours solid on it yesterday, and have already gotten myself banned from 2 servers... :P

(apperantly I'm just too good with the aircrafts, I can shove them down the admin's throat with pinpoint precision ;D)

I think its rather smooth with 64 players...don't know about other people, my ping was 50, and i was base raping people with a M9 ;D

It's your kind of gamers that are ruining the fun for everyone else. You're just too cowardly to face your enemy. Instead, you're getting them when they're most vulnerable and annoyed. Candy-arse. >:(

Good Lord, the minimum specs include a 256mb video card?  Forget that.

And I certainly hope you're not using eDonkey for anything corrupt.  LOL

Birdman, the single player mode of Battlefield has always really just been for practice, thus you don't get banned for TK'ing or whatever through being a "newbie" ;)

The Bot AI is crap, actually, its far better in BF2 than BF1942, still crap tho imo.

BF2 is an On-Line game make no mistake about it.
