Why not System Restore your PC?

XP creates one System Restore point per day by default, so you shouldn't loose all that much.

Edit: Maybe some of the other guys have a better idea, so hang ten before you go ahead with the Restore.

I'm all out of ideas... When you say it's gone, how so?

I mean, do you see some of it when you bring it up, or is it totally gone?

Stratobat

were you 'Hand-Editing' the registry using rededit? last time I did that I screwed  up my comp. so bad it's not even funny... well, just a little  ;)

There's some really good freeware Registry cleaners out there... registry cleaners are what make up most of my maintenance programs... here's a few that I use...

Go into your admin settings and you should be able to locate where you can enable or disable it there.
