Download Window

My browser is Mozilla Firefox. It used to be Internet Explorer. When ever I download files such as from Simviation,  a small "Download" window appears in the upper left hand corner of my screen. It shows progress while downloading and also lists the files downloaded recently which I can open or remove. However I only see this window while downloading. Is there anyway that I simply click an icon or go somewhere whereby I can show this window at any time while not downloading?

You should also be able to add an icon on your toolbar for downloads from Tools/Toolbar/Customize ......I believe.

Not at home to look at my Firefox, but I do have it on mine.

Got it. But why does it say that all downloads go to the Desk Top. I'd like to be able to direct it to a specific file or folder. Can do?

From Tools/Downloads you should see an Option button at the bottom. Click on it & select the location for your Download Folder.
