I use audacity for most (if not all) of my audio editing stuff....very good little app.

If you're going to use it to export as MP3, you'll need to find a file name lame_enc.dll....google it, it's very easily findable.

You can use that. It is however limited to certain file formats.

yeah certain file formats. you can record in all the formats you want, as long as their WAV.
