Hey Guys,

Does WWII Fighters work on XP Home?

I used to play it on my 98SE system.

I'm running it fine in XP Pro. Loadsa Jerrys dumped in the sea. And the occassional US Bomber :o It was a long long way away, and frankly it was a blindin' bit of shootin', John Wayne eat your heart out, its only when I got right on it that I saw the US markings :-[ Bum-chocolate :P

Ozzy,

Thanks for the reply :)

Did you just put the disks in and install it, or did you have to install it in Compatability Mode?

General question: Are the cockpits in WWII fighters 3d only or 2d and 3d,like in CFS?

3D :)

I haven't played the game in a while, but I think you can change views like in CFS 2, from the panel, to the HUD and so on, but the 2D cockpit is 3D, like CFS3.

For a game that was made in '98, it's really good, only problem is that making mods for it is VERY hard. You need to know a little DOS :P

I suppose that's why it never really took off like the FS and CFS series.

Ah,the good ol' DOS. I needed some yesterday when my PC crashed. A shame that Win XP doesn't have a "real" DOS implemented anymore.
