After using many different "Download Accelerator" programs (Flashget and DAP) to name a couple of the more popular ones, I came upon some info and a recommendation to check out "Leechget". Unlike DAP, which I was using, it has no banner adds or spyware installed. The speed of my downloads has increased over DAP also.

User interface is simple, supports "Resume" and there are many nice features included. Even  an automatic update tool. And it's all free!!

This is the one I am using and will stick with it. Not happy with yours or just looking for something that may be a little better? Then check out Leechget!

This might sound dumb, but what do you expect look who its coming from!
Is Getright a download accelerator, or just a download manager?
It is what I have always used because I like the resume feature, but as far as speed does any of these work for a 56K dial-up connection?

I know what you are saying. I can only get dial up out here where I live.  :(  But, download accelerators do help even for us slow folk. Especially when "Mirror" sites are found.

I was using the free version of DAP, was ok until I checked into the fact that they install some minor spyware for their banner ads; which are always changing. Decided to try "Leechget". No banners or any ads, free ( there is a premium version you can get ) and my download speeds are slightly improved over what I was getting with DAP, I assume because of the banners in DAP.

This one is clean, simple and free of ads or banners and slightly faster than the others. This is why I recommended it, even for dail uppers like me. lol    ;D
