I noticed some of you got Call of Duty for X-mas.
Any good?
Also how about IL2 Sturminov (opps! wrong name!) I heard that might be a good one. WalMart has a pack for $20, that has IL2, another flying game, and a U-boat game, sorry I had a brain fart and forgot the names, anygood?
I also love first person shooters, any recomendations?
Medal of Honor has gotten old to me so looking for something to kill time between flights!

It's IL-2 STURMOVIK for the combat sim, Silent Hunter for the u-boat game, and I don't know what second fighting game you're refering to.

For First-Person Shooters [FPS], I recommend "Splinter Cell". It's still popular. Or you can get "Return to Castle Wolfenstein".

All of my friends [from high school and from my neighborhood] say that "Return to Castle Wolfenstein" is the best WW2 FPS there is.

I think the last one is something like Flanker 2 ?
I've played Wolenstein on other systems before, but would you consider it a WWII game or science fiction? It's a little of both.
I've considered buying , ever since I started playing games on a PC I don't care for anything else.
Medal of Honor and Spearhead were ok but I played through them in a couple of days and even after setting diffuculties to max can fly right through it. All except the part where you land on Omaha Beach, it is impossible to get anywhere with the difficulty on high!! Your half blowen to pieces by the time the dudes in front of you get off your boat!
Is Splinter Cell a one player game ,meaning your playing alone or do you have a "team" . I really liked The Sum Of All Fears except I would kill my team off just because if I didn't they would get me killed!!
I don't care for having to follow other teammate or them following me. There are a few parts in MOHAA that you would have to keep a eye on your team otherwise you'll be trying to complete a objective and then game over because the idiots you have with you run out in front of a tank!!
I also heard Halo was suppose to be the good one! Any comments?

I have Call of Duty, its great! It is a welcome change from MoH. The main difference is your fighting in a team (with slightly more purpose), not just one guy going in somewhere and blasting out a whole army!

The multiplayer is great too (Broadband!!!), loads of maps and a much more rounded experiance the MoH. I recomend it!

COD held my attention for about 10 hours (the time it took for me to finish the singleplayer game).

as for the multiplayer yes its fun....for awhile but you can fit the map on a postage stamp........

The sim pack is IL2 sturmovik,Flanker 2.5, and Silent Hunter 2.(which is nothing like the original Silent Hunter)

If ya have a PS2 and like first person shooters, buy SOCOM, with SOCOM 2 coming out or may already be out, get 1 for the headset, the game is amazingly fun. and online compatible, and 2 is meant to be alot better.

Ok, for a first person shooter I am going to break from all these people and recommend Vietcong. You work with a squad of five other guys for most of the game. But there are a couple of missions when your on your own. You have all the weapons you would get with CoD eg Thompson and M1 carbine plus you get M16's and AK47's. It has a camapaign that isn't to challenging on easy but is near impossible on "Vietnam" mode. Which means you have no ammo counter, health bar etc and if you take one round you as good as dead. It also has a "Quick fight" function. Which I feel is needed in a game like that. Because once you've finished the campaign what can you do?

However, if you have one killer of a system, eg, 2ghz+ 512mb RAM GeForce4 etc then you may consider Hidden and Dangerous2. It was released this year after four years in development and if you like weapons, then this game has more than you can ever use. Eg, eight different rifles, four different sniper rifles, six submachine guns, five light machine guns, six pistols, heavy machine guns, cannons, morters. Whats more you can drive about in any vehical you come across, be it a motor bike or tiger tank. And your working in a squad of four men. Who you will need to command well if you are to complete the game. All one could ever want!!! ;D

should contact the store that whoever got it for you, got it from, comes free with it.
Although to be honest with you, if your only playing the single player missions its not a huge loss to gameplay, the headsets main benifit is when you take socom online, so you can communicate with your other team mates. justa  shame MS couldnt get voice recognition as accurate

Mafia is good.  First person shooter set in 1930's USA it has a good story line and the graphics are very pretty.

The best Driving game I've ever played is Panzer Elite...... ;D
