Anyone know of this sim?

A co-worker was asking me the other day about a flight sim.  He heard there was one on the market that could help you earn a real pilots license.  When you are done with the sim, you can get something like a permit that would let you be able to do a real flight test and become a licensed pilot.  Has anyone heard of a sim like that?

No. But I know a number of schools use FS2k2 for basic introductory training stuff.
