My ailing PC - Help needed!

Just recently I noticed my FS RECORDER is missing from the task bar.
When trying to re-launch it, uninstall it, re-install it, all I get is the following message.
From the net, it seems to be a corrupt entry in the registry. Strange because it had been working proper for years, so it must be something I done
that caused the problem.
I tried to find it in the registry, no luck.
I done a system restore to about a week previous, no luck.
I tried CCcleaner, no luck.
I have also since found that my "Water configurator" is also not working.
Any ideas anybody?
