XPlane 10

Need some honest to goodness opinion regarding XPlane 10. Is it any good compared to FSX.
One other question. I've had FSX with Acceleration for a few years now and I'm still happy with it however, does the software itself degrade over time, that is, do I have to load a fresher copy from time to time?
