Spectrum Holobyte had a great PC flight sim called Flight of the Intruder based on the book by Stephen Coonts. You had your choice between flying the early A-6E or a F-4J (I think it was a J). You took off and landed on a moving aircraft carrier. You could fly missions the sim provided or plan your own with ordinance and the target of your choice including waypoints. The enemy consisted of Mig 15s, Mig 17's and Mig 21's plus a lot of SAM's and small arms fire when you got too low.
Somehow in a move I lost the 3.5" floppies but I still have the booklet. I think it was written for Windows 95. This is a sim I think deserves a second chance.
