I got this from Nvidia guru's when installing new drivers.
Dont uninstall old drivers, like you use to do inside windows.
Just delete Nvidia folders whereever you find it on your drive(s), and then make the new install as custom + mark a clean install!
I've had some problems doing it in the old fashion way, but now it comes straight out.
