MS VISUALS C++

Can someone please explain what the MS VISUAL C++ is. I have several showing in my program list ranging from 2005/2005x64 2008/2008x64 and 2010x64. 12 in all. Do I need all of them? How do they relate to FSX?

I know C++ is one the codes that some programs are written in. I would just leave them in place if I were you.
