On arecent trip to the store in search of IL2 FB and CFS2 (which neither were available!) I found a $6 2 pack that had Delta Force 2 and Rainbow Six.
I have tried Delta Force 2 and it appears to be a fun game except. You can't save your game and there is no "health meter"! Or at least I haven't figured out where it is or how its done!
The on cd manual is vauge and doesn't tell me how to save my progress, can you and if so how?
And as for the health, I hate it when I hear shots being fired and don't realize that I'm being hurt! My guy doesn't make any sounds like he is in pain and there is no "health" indicator showing the damage being done!!
So I haven't a clue until I die!!! This SUCKS!!
I know what do you expect from a old game that cost six dollars?
But surely there is a way to save and some how see the health of your character? If not this is the first game I ever played that didn't have it!!!!!!!

I have Deltaforce2 and in my mind its the best one i've played. The lack of a health meter never bothered me. You will notice that when you get hit your screen goes slightly red quickly. Just use your GPS to find the enemy and blow him up. ;D

Oh yeah, you can't save your progress with DF2. You've got to complete the mission in one go. ;)

Thanks!!
I noticed the last time i was playing the screen flashed red a few times!!
The not being able to save sucks!!
So far those two things are what ruin the enjoyment of this game!!

Battlefield 1942 is the best! IMHO offcourse ...  ;D

Lots of maps, expansionpacks and really nice mods: Desert combat ( modern warfare), EOD ( Vietnam), ...

But you need a DSL connection to enjoy it.

Andrew I see you mentioned it took you a long time to finish HALO, how far have I got to go?

I have disabled the third upright blue laser thingy and went into a ship and found the captain in a sorry state and am now on the Pillar of Autumn. Kind of had enough of it but I would like to get to the end to see what happens!

PS. I wish they'd just let you wonder around without having to blast everything to bits! It would be kind of relaxing if you didn't have to! Is there a 'no enemy cheat' ::)

Battle Field 1942 <---AWESOME if you have broadband... if you do get Desert Combat and Eve of Destruction Mods for it, can find those at places like fileshack.com

Operation Flashpoint Resistance is also a great game, great single player, even better multiplay if you can find people to play with...

Americas Army, great game, and even better cause its made by the US Army and it gets better.... ITS FREE, www.americasarmy.com multiplay only... prettymuch training is single play

overall for games get Battlefield 1942
Still have a nice PC but I just switched to a hella nice mac
