Most people think that flying a plane is dangerous, except pilots because they know how easy it is.
Arguing with a pilot is like wrestling with a pig in the mud, after a while you begin to think the pig likes it.

I've got just two things to say;
1) General Discussion is the wrong forum for this post!
2) Not just two weeks but an opening discussion behind http://205.252.250.26/cgi-bin/yabb25/Ya ... 5008  ;D ;D ;D

There are two types of aeroplane, Spitfires and everything else that wishes it was a Spitfire!

I downloaded X-Plane 10 yesterday...
...took over 2 hours!

Installed it...

..that took another 3 weeks (I exaggerate)...

The gigantic list of options then confronted me.. :o...!

I attempted to configure as many as made sense to me...
..started up the Sim, and the whole thing went haywire as I went around in ever decreasing circles, and finally crashed into the ground, with Fire Engine bells ringing in my ears!... :'(...!
Its far to complicated to set up, for my feeble brain to comprehend, so I fired up my trusty FS 2004, and all the World suddenly became rosy again!... [smiley=2vrolijk_08.gif]...!

Paul... [smiley=thumbsup.gif]...!

"X-Plan" Sounds like a Medical recommendation... ;)... ;)...!
Win 8.1 64-bit. DX11. Advent Tower. Intel i7-3770 3.9 GHz 8-core. 8 GB System RAM. AMD Radeon HD 7700 1GB RAM. DVD ROM. 2 Terra Byte SATA Hard Drive. Philips 17" LCD Monitor. Saitek Cyborg X Fly-5 Joystick. ...and a Briggs and Stratton Petrol Lawn Mower.

If the flight dynamics are similar to the way they were in X-plane 9, I will pass. X-Plane 9 looked horrible, there was a weird haze about 10miles out, very inaccurate (my local lake was missing and it is not a small one!), and about the flight dynamics...well...a fully loaded Cessna 182 cannot do rolls at 300+degrees per second, snap rolls, and multiple loops at 90kts IAS and 1500ft.
That said, I will stay away from X-Plane.
