AVG Scan from a Disk

I heard something that in AVG 8 you can burn a disk for a basic scan of the system in DOS mode in the event of a major system crash due to a virus or something similar to that nature.

my question is can it be done and how if it actually exists?

I have the pay version of AVG 8.

That sounds weird, but it may be true. if you can get 4 TB in a com, then you can do anything
