I always use my simple, straight-forward, trusty old Classic "mplayer2"... :-*...!

What REALLY annoys me, is when I try to download a music or video file, a pop-up window insists that I download and install the very latest version of Windows Media Player FIRST!.....
...otherwise I wont be allowed to run the music/video file!...ARSE!... ...!

At that point I ignore the file, and go out and mow the grass instead......!
