Reccomendation for best/easiest screen video prog

Just started experementing with making fs9 videos so was looking for reccomendations for good free video capture programs. Currently I'm useing Game Cam but there is no sound and the Game Cam logo is permanently on the screen.

SnagIt. not only does it do picures, it takes desktop movies as well.

this program has become a payware of sorts. sorry for the trouble, i use an old version (snagit 5) and they are on snagit 8...

Does it use up many resorces and is your free version still available?

FRAPS is the easiest on FPS, however costs $37. The free virsion can only take 30 second clips.

I'd disaggree with that. I noticed a BIG performance hit with the demo version of fraps. Things were dropping from 15-20 fps to about 5 fps when it was turned on!

The one I use at the moment, Game Cam, is pretty good, only loose 3 or 4 fps but it has the Game Cam logo on the screen permanantly and there is no sound unless you pay for it.
