Yes EA Came out with another one and I'm having mixed feelings about it.
So I was a dork today and counted out all my quarters in my piggie bank with my friend, and we raced out to Best Buy for our copy of Need For Speed Most Wanted: Black Edition. Man once I had that game in my hand I couldnt wate to get home, heck we might as well have been in the game on the drive home, as my friend was flying down I-495 at about 95MPH. So we get it to my place (Ive got the better GFX card so I won the first install) and pop it right into my CD drive. Install the entire game, and load it up. I must say the Josie Marron is one georgeous woman. Anyway we start my carrier and holey crap is the whole start to the game amazing. It really got me psyced to get into the race. Anyway we get through the three qualifying races for the black list, and convienently loose our georgeous BMW M3 GTR. So I go out and pick up a VW GOLF GTI, which I must say has some kick running from the cops at 120MPH. However this is where the dissapointments start. First the selection of starter cars are few. A Lexus IS300 a Fiat of some sorts, Chevy Colbolt, and the VW (that you can only afford if you have a NFSU2 save game somewhere on your comp). But the GTI is sexy so I didnt complain too much, that is until I get to the shop. No neons, no trunk customization, so lights, not even NO2 purge kits. The other thing I dont like is you cant upgrade any preformance parts until you beat the first two Black List racers. Infact you cant do much of anythng in the way of customization for the first 10% of the game. But thats okey as your pretty well matched with everything else if you get the GTI, however I feel for the IS 300 owners. Now the Underground fans are perking up here and going "what about body kits" well this area is a mixed blessing. There are different kits for each car (6 for tuners and 2 for high end) but the thing I dont like is you cant mix and match anymore. I mean that used to be what set me apart from my friends, I used to have the coolest body kits ever, and now they are just the same as me. But EA made up for it by rendering all their visual mods to those of the real world.
Enough about the game play before I rouin the story line. Now most of you are like me and hate to go running for a CD every time we want to play a game. Some of you have reverted to cracks (the legality is still up for grabs) or you can be like me and buy GameJacker. However to my dismay EA put a really wierd encodeing on the game that even GJ5 cant find. So I went the route less travled and looked up Emule. Well I found the crack, but it turnes out to be a half assed attempt at a crack, and is really spyware. Well now I sit here CD less (my friend has the disks and is being unpleasent about how he wants to be the keeper of the disks, why I will never know) and want to play the game. I guess its good that EA put a new encodeing on their .exe but seriously, do they have to take it to the level where disk swapping is going to be existant. Atleast they didnt code it where you can only install it on one system, but seriously I would expect this from microsoft, not EA.
Cheers
