I will check those out. So far, I have no problems. I have read at the aforementioned forum that there is a program out there called Xfire that does the browsing for you, allows you to see other players/friends online etc.

The slow browser thing is going to be corrected in the patch.
Team work is stressed very much in online play. Joining a squad in the game and following orders are essential.

I am having a blast so far. Usually I filter down to only ranked servers that are not full or empty, use punkbuster etc. Mine seems to load up fairly fast considering all the info that has to be retrieved.

Hope to see some of you there on the field of battle. S~

TOooo many bugs! I havn't gotten the game running yet (the demo worked fine), while two of my buddies have had the game die (not work anymore) on them.

For those of you who have not gotten the game yet, wait for a few more patches to come out, and the price to go down. Go spend your $50 on some (FS related) payware.

I agree. Its sad, but just about everything released by EA is pretty dam buggy.

Well, I have been playing BF2 since shortly after it's release. Admittedly, there were some bugs for some, for me, no problems.

They have released patch 1.2 and that fixes quite a few things. However, over at a Euro site EA states they are well aware of the problems that remain, some game issues and player imput and that around the end of August they should be releasing patch 1.3 that will address all these issues.

Many of the "bugs" are coming from peoples systems, and not the game. I will warn you here and now, your machine had better meet the minimum and better yet, be well above those requirements. Anything under 1 Gig of Ram, a 128 MB vid card will lead to minor up to severe problems. We are finding out that a 256MB vid card and more than 1 Gig of Ram is perfect.

Hope to see you all there.

I am running A64-3200@2.0GHz, 1GB DDR400, 256MBR9800XT on XP. The game does not install on my system. My friend runs on an A64-3400, 1GB DDR400 and 256MB6800Ultra and the game crashes 1/4 the time. Both these systems have been stable for 1+ years.

Sure, if you don't meet the minimum requirements, don't complain to EA. But, if you do, it is EA and Dice's job to ensure compatibility and stability across a broad range of system configurations.
