This is why it is called Chaos Theory!

Postby A/SGT.Mav316 » Mon May 23, 2005 10:37 pm

I am a fanatic of the splinter cell series. I find it a rip off that they make the game so sound and light sensative they want you to be on your toes when you play.

So here is my shot. I walked up to this guy standing next to another with a gun in his hand. When I grabbed the guy and put him in a strangle hold, the other guy just stood there continue his work as if I wasn't even there. Jeeze I am not more then 1feet away from him, how could he not have heard me grab this guy right in front of him.  :-/

Here I am knowing I needed to interrogate the captain without getting him killed so my plan was to grab him and use him as a human shield and kill the guy standing next to him.

Instead for some odd reason, I just walked up to him and snagged him and pulled him away and his body guard didn't do anything. Guess what he was doing was more important then protecting his boss!  ???

So that makes me think Splinter Cell Chaos Theory is not as covert as they make it seem!  :'( Guess I am another sucker !

The body guard was probably either on SimV, or flying FS. Those are the only two things I can think of that could hold someones attention like that!

I have played the other SC games and enjoyed them haven't tried CT yet.
But there were a few instances that you could do the "impossible" I recall, mainly when you complete a objective the way your suppose to such as what sounds like the case above.
Go back and shot the fool (bodyguard) first and tell us what the outcome is.

Well the out come was I was able to interrogate the Captain without the other guard being aware. After so I choked him out and hid his body in a dark corner.

Now the idiot being too buzy to notice me snatch his boss. Well i walked right up to the back of him and did the non lethal move (which was smacking him in the back of the head so hard it knocked him unconicious)  ;D then I dragged him downstairs and left his body on the floor in the bathroom in front of the toilet.  ;D

Not quite sure what that is, correct me if I am wrong.

Are you saying I should have put him in a head lock and then giving him (what us old timers refer to as) a noogie?

Although Splinter Cell has its AI issues. It is fun playing around with his gadgets.

My favorite right now is the EEV vison. It somehow lets you remote control turn on and off things or hack computers and door looks (though hacking door locks are hard). But it is fun to use because it drives security guards nuts!  ;D

man I just watched this movie preveiw and found out what a "SWIRLY" is.  ;D

If I could have flushed the toilet then I would have done that "POLITCIALLY INCORRECT". Fortunately for him the toilets don't flush in the game!  :-/ That would have been funny  ;D

I was a smart ass when I was in Highschool. I once took this guys book bag and attached it to the flag pole of the school and hung that bad boy up there!

Don't ask how I did that.....upto today they still don't know how it got there and I'd like to keep it that way!  ;)

Here I am deciding to see just how close I could get to a guard with out him knowing I am there.

Well I was so close to this chap I could take a guess at what underarm spray he was using!

Of course he later caught a knuckle to the forehead ;D

Guess the other guys will take of their shades the next time I take out the lights!
